Bengal: Budget session begins

Kolkata, Feb 10 (UNI) West Bengal Governor C V Ananda Bose on Monday delivered a customary inaugural address on the opening day of the state budget session and lauded Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee-led TMC government's achievements in different sectors, including that of poverty alleviation and launching welfare schemes.
Bose also mentioned in his brief address regarding the recently concluded Bengal Global Business Summit, and the law and order situation.
Before the session began, Ms Banerjee and Speaker Biman Banerjee welcomed the Governor at the assembly and the trio paid floral tributes to a statue of B R Ambedkar in the assembly premises.
