BEML bags Rs 157.33 cr defence order

Bengaluru, July 18 (UNI) In a significant boost to indigenous defence manufacturing, BEML Limited has secured a fresh order worth ₹157.33 crore from the Ministry of Defence for the supply of 79 Power Angling & Tilting (PAT) Bulldozers.
The repeat order underscores the Ministry’s continued confidence in BEML’s capability to deliver reliable and high-performance heavy equipment for deployment in critical border infrastructure and snow-clearing operations. BEML had earlier fulfilled an order for 66 such bulldozers, all delivered within the stipulated timeline.
"This repeat order is a testament to the trust the Ministry of Defence places in BEML’s indigenous solutions and our execution capabilities," said Shantanu Roy, CMD of BEML Ltd. He reiterated the company’s commitment to the 'Make in India' initiative and emphasised its focus on providing the armed forces with high-quality, homegrown machinery.
The PAT Bulldozer, developed entirely in-house, is tailored for the toughest operational conditions and represents BEML’s technological edge and R&D strength. The company operates state-of-the-art production facilities in Bengaluru, Mysuru, and KGF, with a robust pan-India sales and service network.
BEML, a Schedule 'A' public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Defence, serves core sectors such as Defence, Railways, Mining, and Construction. With a legacy of over six decades, the company continues to play a crucial role in advancing India's self-reliance in defence and infrastructure development.
