BCCL suspends GM after toxic gas leak tragedy in Dhanbad’s Kenduadih

Dhanbad, Dec 6 (UNI) Following the death of two women due to a toxic gas leak in Kenduadih, the Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) management has taken decisive action by suspending P.B. Area General Manager G.C. Saha with immediate effect.
The suspension was confirmed by D.P. Murli Krishna Ramaiya from the BCCL headquarters, who also announced that J.K. Mehta, GM at the headquarters, has been assigned charge of the P.B. Area.
The incident occurred on Wednesday when poisonous gas began leaking in Rajput Basti, Masjid Mohalla, and adjoining localities, leaving residents panicked and several affected. The situation escalated after two women died over two days, prompting BCCL to deploy emergency response teams in the area without delay.
