BBMP, Microsoft to launch 'Project BBMP Roshini to implement digital learning in BBMP schools

Bengaluru, Sep 25 (UNI) In an initiative to upgrade education standards in 156 Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) Primary and Secondary Schools, BBMP and Microsoft in association with Tech Avant-Garde will be launching 'Project BBMP Roshini' to implement social schooling and 21st century learning in BBMP educational institutions in the city.
The initiative which involves Rs 560 crore spending in the next five years by Microsoft, which has its India headquarters in Bengaluru, would join hands with BBMP to transform its educational institutions into world class schools, by implementing state of the art technology, improving infrastructure to meet highest standards, training the teachers with latest skills, encourage community involvement to carryout experimental learning under its CSR programme 'No Child is Left behind' concept.
The BBMP Roshini will be launched by Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy in the city on Wednesday.
