Bangladesh's NCP carries out march on Victory Day chanting anti-Indian slogans

Dhaka, Dec 16 (UNI) Bangladesh's student-led political faction, the National Citizen Party (NCP) held an anti-aggression march on the country's Victory Day, chanting anti-India slogans and demanding justice for the shooting of prominent July Uprising activist, Sharif Osman Hadi.
Claiming that Hadi's attempted assassination was an Indian ploy, given the former's history of vitriolic statements against New Delhi and role in removing the Awami League government, the NCP workers raised banners and placards during their march which read "We Are Hadi, "We will not let Hadi's blood go in vain," "We rise to expel the Indian agents from the country," and "We will fight together against aggression."
Marching up to the Central Shaheed Minar monument in Dhaka, (which commemorates the 1952 Bengali language movement in former East Pakistan) the procession was joined by NCP Convener Nahid Islam, Member Secretary Akhter Hossen, Chief Coordinator Nasiruddin Patwary, Chief Organiser (North) Sarjis Alam, Chief Organiser (South) Hasnat Abdullah, Senior Joint Convener Ariful Islam Adeeb, Senior Joint Member Secretary Tasnim Jara, Senior Joint Convener Samntha Sharmeen, Joint Convener Khaled Saifullah, Joint Organiser Saifullah Hayder, among others.
