Bangladesh leap hurdles to bag maiden ODI win over Sri Lanka

Rajshahi, April 20 (UNI) Bangladesh recorded their first-ever win over Sri Lanka in Women's ODIs, securing a three-wicket victory in a tightly-fought contest here on Monday.
This win came in the first of the three games of the ODI series between these two sides in Bangladesh. The ODI fixtures will be followed by a three-game T20I contest, crucial for
both the sides ahead of the upcoming ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026.

IPL: Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Pat Cummins fined Rs 12 lakh for slow over-rate

Ahmedabad, May 13 (UNI) Sunrisers Hyderabad Captain Pat Cummins has been fined Rs 12 lakhs after his team maintained a slow over rate during Match No. 56 of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 against Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium here on Tuesday.
"As this was his team's first offence of the season under Article 2.22 of the IPL's Code of Conduct, which pertains to minimum over-rate offences, Cummins was fined INR 12 lakhs," according to an IPL media statement.
