Dhaka, Aug 13 (UNI) Home Adviser to the interim government of Bangladesh, retired Brigadier General M Sakhawat Hossain, on Tuesday said that “the days for the Border Guard Bangladesh personnel to show their back along the country’s border with India were over”.
“They [previous govt of Sheikh Hasina] had directed a force like BGB to show their back along the border. They (Indian forces) killed our people along the border and BGB were forced to hold flag meetings… I told them not to show their back. Enough is enough. Those days are over,” said Sakhawat briefing reporters after visiting the Border Guard Hospital to see injured BGB members during the movement organised by the Student Movement Against Discrimination.
He alleged that the Border Security Force of India killed people entering into Bangladesh territory, reports newsagebd.
