Bangiya Christiya Pariseba to organise statewide tributes for Pope Francis

Kolkata, Apr 26 (UNI) The Bangiya Christiya Pariseba – a United Forum of Christians of all Denominations in West Bengal - will organise a condolence and prayer meeting to pay homage to Pope Francis at which people from all religions and castes will be invited.

“Since Pope Francis, from the very beginning of his papacy, emphasised service to the underprivileged, marginalised, and oppressed while consistently advocating unity among different races, religions, and political groups to promote equality and communal harmony, we will be inviting members of various temple committees, mosque committees, and Gurudwaras to join us in spreading the message of communal harmony,” founder and state secretary of Bangiya Christiya Pariseba, Herod Mullick said.
