Bahadurpur, Kheri Viran set to become first model sports villages of India

New Delhi, Jan 16 (UNI) With an aim to evolve sports culture in the country, two villages of Muzaffarnagar ( in UP), Bahadurpur and Khedi Viran will be developed as 'Model Sports Villages' (Adarsh ​​Khel Gram).
Under the ‘Adarsh Khel Gram’ program, Institute of Management Technology (IMT) in association with NGO ‘Sports: A Way of Life’, will evolve sports culture and increase sports literacy in the twin villages.
Speaking at an event the national capital on Thursday, IMT’s Sports Research Centre Head, Kanishka Pandey said that his NGO, 'Sports - A Way of Life' has been has been running a campaign to increase sports literacy in India for last several years and now it is advising IMT Ghaziabad on implementing the country's first Model Sports Village.
