Badminton: Hariharan-Arjun falters against third Malaysian hurdle in Indonesia Open

Jakarta, June 6 (UNI) India’s badminton campaign at the Indonesia Open 2026 BWF Super 1000 tournament has ended with Hariharan Amsakarunan and MR Arjun losing their men’s doubles quarter-final match to Malaysia’s Goh Sze Fei and Nur Izzuddin.
The Indian badminton players, 30th in doubles rankings, lost 21-12, 21-10 to the world No. 8 pair of Goh Sze Fei and Nur Izzuddin in 32 minutes here on Friday.
In the opening game, the seventh-seeded Malaysians raced to a four-point lead at the break before Hariharan Amsakarunan and MR Arjun cut the deficit down to just one point at 11-10 following the restart.
