Badlapur sexual assault case: HC orders to expedite magisterial inquiry into death of prime accused Shinde

Mumbai, Oct 3 (UNI) The Bombay High Court on Thursday passed an order directing to expedite a magisterial inquiry into the custodial death of the prime accused Akshay Shinde in case of sexual assault on two toddlers in a school in Badlapur town of neighbouring Thane district.
The court also directed that all the evidence related to the case be collected, preserved, and checked by forensics experts, while the father of accused Akshay would be heard during the inquiry.
A bench of Justices Revati Mohite-Dere and Prithviraj K Chavan, while hearing the father’s plea seeking an inquiry by a Special Investigation Team, sought a report of the magisterial inquiry by November 18.
