Awami League prevented from marking death anniversary of Bangladesh's founder Sheikh Mujibur Rahman

Dhaka, Aug 15 (UNI) Student activists and BNP party men on Thursday prevented members of Sheikh Hasina’s Awami League party from holding any programme at Bangabandhu Museum in Dhaka’s Dhanmondi area to mark the day the country’s founding president Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was assassinated in 1975.
From early Wednesday, students wielding sticks and activists of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party took positions on the roads next to the Bangabandhu Bhaban, the residence of Sheikh Mujib, in Dhanmondi area.
August 15 is observed as National Mourning Day – to mark the day Mujibur Rahman was assassinated in 1975.

Tehran/Jerusalem, June 14 (UNI) Iran has said any kind of dialogue is "meaningless" at the moment, blaming Israel for targeting Iranian territory. Speaking to the semi-official Tasnim news agency, Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei accused the US of supporting Israel’s assault on Iran, saying the attack would not have happened without Washington’s permission.
