Assam cabinet decides to transfer case against Pakistani national Ali Tauqueer Sheikh to MHA

Guwahati, Feb 7 (UNI) The Assam Cabinet today decided to hand over the investigation of the case regarding Pakistani national Ali Tauqueer Sheikh to the union Ministry of Home Affairs.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said this while addressing a press conference after the cabinet meeting and mentioned that the government will request the MHA to get the further investigation of the case by any of the central agency like the CBI or the NIA.
He said that the Assam government has instituted an Special Investigation Team to inquire into the alleged anti-India conspiracy of Ali Tauqueer Sheikh in connivance with a British citizen Elizabeth Coulbarn Gogoi.
