ASMS, UAL Biotech Sign MoU to Promote Sustainable Agriculture

Hyderabad, Apr 17 (UNI): Avio Smart Market Stack Limited (ASMS), formerly known as Bartronics India Limited, on Friday said it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with UAL Biotech Pte Ltd, a Singapore-based bio-innovation company, to explore opportunities in sustainable agriculture and rural ecosystem development.
The collaboration aims to integrate ASMS’s rural digital network, which spans over 5,000 villages and reaches nearly 40 million farmers and rural residents, with UAL Biotech’s eco-sustainable biological solutions.
The partnership will focus on promoting regenerative farming practices, improving agricultural productivity, and enabling environmentally responsible solutions across agriculture, aquaculture, and allied sectors, the company said in a release.
As part of the initiative, the two organisations will explore the deployment of bio-based agricultural inputs through ASMS’s platform, along with farmer advisory and training programmes to encourage adoption at the grassroots level.
The collaboration will also work towards developing traceable, chemical-free supply chains and undertake pilot projects to demonstrate the impact of sustainable practices.
The initiative seeks to combine digital infrastructure with biotechnology innovation to enhance soil health, improve crop yields, reduce dependence on chemical inputs, and support long-term food security and rural economic growth.
It will also emphasise data-driven farming practices and scalable models.
Dr. Raja Krishna Murthy M, Head – Agri Tech Business at ASMS, said the partnership aims to build an integrated and sustainable agri-ecosystem by leveraging digital reach and bio-innovation.
R. Chakrapani, Director at UAL Biotech, said the collaboration would help bring advanced biological solutions to farming communities at scale and promote safer, more sustainable agricultural practices.
The partnership is expected to contribute to transforming agriculture through the convergence of digital platforms and bio-innovation, creating long-term value for farmers and the rural economy.
