Arunachal: Tight security in place for free, fair polls

Itanagar, April 16 (UNI) Tight security arrangements have been made across Arunachal Pradesh including East Siang district for the simultaneous elections to the Lok Sabha and State Legislative Assembly to be held on April 19.
To prevent any illegal activities during the elections, a senior official said, security forces and state police personnel are carrying out intensive checking of vehicles and search operations in various
parts of all three Assembly segments in East Siang including the border areas of the district.
