Arunachal records highest-ever monthly GST collection in April 2025

Itanagar, May 20 (UNI) In a major fiscal milestone, Arunachal Pradesh recorded its highest-ever monthly Goods and Services Tax (GST) collection in April 2025, amounting to Rs 332 crore, a remarkable 66% increase compared to the same period last year.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu shared this achievement on social media, describing it as a “landmark achievement” for the state’s economic growth. Since the rollout of GST in 2017, Arunachal has witnessed steady growth in its taxpayer base, which now includes over 20,000 registered taxpayers, Khandu said.
Hailing this development, Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein said that the milestone highlights Arunachal Pradesh’s robust economic growth, improved tax compliance, and a rapidly expanding base of 20,000+ registered taxpayers.
