Arunachal leaders pay rich tributes to Bhupen Hazarika on his 100th birth anniversary

Itanagar, Sep 8 (UNI) Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein today joined the nation in paying glowing tributes to Bharat Ratna Dr Bhupen Hazarika on his birth centenary.
Remembering the legendary singer, CM Khandu in a social media post said, “Your songs beautifully bridged the hearts of Northeast India and the rest of the world. In Arunachal, your melodies continue to resonate, inspiring peace, unity, and cultural pride. May your timeless legacy keep connecting generations.”
Dy CM Chowna Mein, in his tribute, hailed Dr Hazarika as the “Bard of Brahmaputra” and “Sudhakantha,” whose powerful voice and immortal songs continue to inspire people across cultures. “Dr Hazarika’s music is not just art, it is a bridge that connects cultures and generations forever,” Mein said.
