Arunachal Guv inaugurates learning centre in Pasighat, stresses reading, writing culture

Itanagar, Oct 7 (UNI) Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt General (Retd) K T Parnaik has emphasized the importance of cultivating strong reading and writing habits among the younger generation, stating that “reading broadens one’s vocabulary and enhances articulation, while writing refines the ability to express inner thoughts effectively.”
The Governor was speaking after inaugurating the ‘New Age Learning Centre (NALC)’ at the District Library, Pasighat in East Siang district today. To mark the occasion, the Arunachal Pradesh Literary Society, Pasighat Chapter, organized a poetry recital showcasing the creative talents of local writers and youth.
In his address, the Governor said that the concept of New Age Learning Centres is rapidly gaining momentum across the State, attracting increasing interest from young learners.

Arguments on Sonam bail case conclude, Meghalaya HC lists matter for June 9

Shillong, June 8 (UNI) The Meghalaya High Court today heard the arguments of both against and in defence of Sonam Raghuvanshi, prime accused in the murder of her husband Raja Raghuvanshi, and listed the matter for Tuesday.
The single bench of Justice Wanlura Diengdoh heard the argument of S. Thapa, the legal counsel for Sonam, who has concluded his argument, challenging the criminal petition filed by the State government seeking revocation of the bail granted to Sonam by a lower court.
