Itanagar, Sep 18 (UNI) Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt General (Retd) KT Parnaik met Union Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports and Labour & Employment Mansukh Mandaviya in New Delhi on Wednesday and discussed the issues like promotion of sports and capacity building to broaden participation, achieve excellence in various national and international competitions, and development of infrastructure.
The Governor, while highlighting the achievements of top sportspersons like cricketer Techi Doria, weightlifter Yuker Sebi, shuttler Laa Talar, taekwondo martial artist Rupa Bayor and mountaineer Kabak Yano, emphasized the need for intensified efforts to scout young talent across every district of the State.
He said that Arunachali youth possess immense potential but require proper guidance and opportunities to excel.
