Arunachal Dy CM inaugurates Parshuram Kund Mela

Itanagar, Jan 14 (UNI) Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein on Tuesday formally inaugurated the Parshuram Kund Mela, a spiritual event that attracts pilgrims and devotees from across India and beyond.
Also known as the "Kumbh of the Northeast," this Hindu pilgrimage centre, located at the lower reaches of the Lohit river, holds profound spiritual significance, especially during the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti.
Devotees from across the country and Nepal visit the sacred place in winter every year, especially on the Makar Sankranti day for a holy dip in the sacred Kund which is believed to wash away one’s sins.
