Arunachal Assembly passes Budget 2025-26

Itanagar, Mar 12 (UNI) The Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly on Wednesday passed the state’s annual budget for the fiscal year 2025-26 through a voice vote following a marathon discussion.
The budget was presented by Deputy Chief Minister and Minister in-charge of Finance Chowna Mein in the House on March 10, outlining a total expenditure of Rs 39,842 crore, emphasizing social and economic empowerment.
Responding to members’ observations during the budget discussion, Chief Minister Pema Khandu said that this year’s budget is “very unique, practical” which seeks to meet the aspirations of every section of society.

Digital Fraud Case: Odisha Cyber Crime Unit arrests accused for duping Rs 73 62 Lakh

Bhubaneswar, May 22 (UNI) The Cyber Crime Unit of the Odisha Crime Branch has arrested a man from Howrah for allegedly defrauding a person of Rs 73.62 lakh by threatening him with a so-called "digital arrest."
According to sources at the Odisha Police headquarters on Thursday, mobile phone, SIM card, Aadhaar card, and other incriminating items of the accused, identified as Rohit Kumar Jaiswal, have been seized, and his bank accounts have also been frozen as part of the investigation.
