Arunachal: 8 injured in gunfire over land dispute in Kra Daadi’s Tali circle

Itanagar, Mar 27 (UNI) At least eight people were seriously injured in a violent altercation over a land dispute in Neomi village under Tali circle of Kra Daadi district on Wednesday morning.
According to the Kra Daadi District Police, the incident occurred around 10 AM and stemmed from a long-standing conflict between two families from Mangnia and Giba villages.
"While six individuals sustained bullet injuries, two others suffered cut wounds inflicted by local Dao or other sharp weapons. All the injured victims were airlifted from Gangte helipad to TRIHMS, Naharlagun, for medical treatment," the police said.

Itanagar, Nov 11 (UNI) In a major judgment underscoring the state’s zero-tolerance policy towards sexual crimes, the Special Judge (POCSO), Pasighat in Arunachal Pradesh has sentenced a man, Bomdo Tali, to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment for committing a heinous sexual assault on a minor girl.
The case stemmed from an FIR lodged on November 27, 2023, by the victim, Miss A, alleging that the accused had raped her.
