Arohan Financial Services creates Mini Science Center in Kolkata for deaf and dumb students

Kolkata, Feb 14 (UNI) Arohan Financial Services Limited, a leading, digitally advanced NBFC-MFI in India, committed to sustainable business practices ensuring future readiness through a well-knitted Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) model has established a Mini Science Center for deafened students at the Deaf and Dumb Government School in Kolkata.

The Mini Science Centre, developed by STEM Education as per the school curriculum of the West Bengal State Board, comes equipped with 80 new scientific ‘Plug & Play’ models.
The project has been handed over to the school authority by Rohit Raj, Manager, Corporate Social Responsibility of Arohan, in the presence of Shyamal Kr. Sen, Ex-Governor and Ex-Chief Justice of Calcutta High Court, Swapan Banerjee, President of Bengal Olympic Association, Upali Roy, Director of Mass Education, Chairman of District Primary Education Council, Subhojit Mondal, District Education Officer and Karthik Chandra Manna, President of Deaf & Dumb School, along with over 100 students.
Prashant Rai, Head of HR and CSR, Arohan Financial Services said, “Arohan is focused on skill-building and education of the underserved, through its Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives.
This effort is in line with our ESG focus as Arohan commences its 5-Year Vision plan of rapid expansion path to serve 20 million lives by 2027.”

Arohan is present in 13 microfinance states, serving nearly 2.1 million customers with a portfolio of over INR 5000 Cr as of December 2022.
