Arms cache recovered by Giridih police during Anti-Naxal operation

Giridih, Feb 7 (UNI) Giridih Police achieved a breakthrough in an anti-Naxal operation on Saturday, recovering a cache of arms and explosives from the foothills of Parasnath in Jharkhand. The joint team of police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) unearthed rifles, hand grenades, and other weapons that had been buried underground by Naxal operatives.
Addressing a press conference, Giridih Superintendent of Police Bimal Kumar and CRPF Commandant Sunil Dutt Tripathi stated that the operation was launched based on specific intelligence inputs. A coordinated action plan was prepared to conduct a joint offensive against Naxal elements in the region.
Under the operation plan, personnel from CRPF’s F-154 Battalion, its company units, and the district police carried out a joint search operation near Bhalki Hill in the Parasnath hills, adjacent to Khukhra police station area, close to Kanedih. With the assistance of the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS), the team recovered a substantial quantity of arms, ammunition, explosives, and other prohibited materials concealed in underground pits. The seized materials were confiscated following due legal procedures.
