Lucknow, Apr 19 (UNI) union Minister Annapurna Devi Sunday launched a scathing attack on opposition parties regarding the Nari Shakti Vandan Act. She said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, unprecedented progress has been made in the field of economic and social empowerment of women since 2014, and now concrete initiatives are being taken towards their political empowerment.

" The discussion on the Nari Shakti Vandan Amendment Bill in Parliament was fruitful, but the opposition parties, Congress, Samajwadi Party, Trinamool Congress, and DMK opposed the bill, hurting the aspirations of women," she told reporters here on Sunday during a press meet along with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
