AP: Woman stripped, beaten up in public glare in Guntur, CM expresses anger

Guntur, July 18 (UNI) In a shocking incident, a woman was stripped and beaten in full public glare by a transgender at Krishnababu colony in this coastal town allegedly at the behest of a Telugu Desam party functionary. Though the incident took place on the night of July 15, it came to light through social media only on Saturday.
A dispute had broken out between two families on drawing water from the public tap. An altercation took place between the victim and TDP 21 division secretary Mallela Venkataramana Murthy on the issue.
The TDP leader allegedly took the help of a transgender to attack the victim. The transgender Madhavi, thrashed the victim, pulled off her saree and innerwear. However, some local women gave the victim clothes to cover herself. The victim lodged a complaint with the Nagarampalem police station the next day.

AP: YSRCP insists for adjournment motion on DSC in Council, Chairman rejects
