AP: Veligonda project works will be completed by 2026-end: Minister

Ongole, Nov 7 (UNI) Minister for Water Resources Development Nimmala Ramanaidu has said that the Veligonda project works will be completed by the end of 2026 and water will be provided through the project for farming.
The Minister on Friday, accompanied by engineers, inspected the feeder canal which was damaged due to Montha cyclone at Veligonda and saw the 30-foot deep breach developed in the canal due to cyclone.
The Minister directed the officials to expedite the works of draining out water from the twin tunnels of the Veligonda project. The Minister suggested that designs be approved for the construction of the feeder canal CC wall lining, keeping in mind future floods.
