AP to extend education loan on 25 paisa interest rate to students

Vijayawada, Oct 6 (UNI) In order to encourage the students to pursue higher studies at reputed educational institutions in India or abroad, the Government of Andhra Pradesh has announced an education loan to the student at 25 paisa interest rate.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has asserted that AP Government will act as a guarantor for these loans, which will be issued by various banks. The repayment period for the loans will be 14 years.
“In addition, the State Government will establish two dedicated coaching centres for the BC students preparing for the IIT and NEET entrance examinations,” the Chief Minister said and reviewed the welfare initiatives for the SC, ST, BC, Minority, and Physically Challenged communities in a meeting with Ministers and senior officials at the Secretariat at Amaravati, near here today.
