AP: Social activist calls off fast after Kakinada Collector assure to fulfil his demand

Kakinada, Nov 6(UNI)Social activist Dusarlapudi Ramanaraju called off his three-day fast on Wednesday after District Collector Shanmohan assured that every effort would be made to merge the eight surrounding villages with Kakinada corporation and hold elections early.
Collector said the merger issue was pending in court for the past 14 years as a result elections could not be held in those villages.
Collector said that the issue was discussed with the Deputy Chief Minister Pavan Kalyan and it would be solved amicably soon.
