AP: SIT files charge sheet in ACB court on Tirumala adulterated ghee case

Vijayawada, Jan 23 (UNI) The Special Investigation Team (SIT) has completed its investigation on the supply of adulterated ghee to make prasadam at the famous hill shrine Tirumala. The SIT officials filed the chargesheet in the ACB court in Nellore. The SIT officials conducted the investigation for 15 months in 12 States.

The investigation identified Bhole Baba Organic Dairy (Uttarakhand) and its directors, Pomil Jain and Vipin Jain, as primary masterminds who, with the help of proxy firms, supplied adulterated ghee (palm oil/industrial fat) worth Rs 250 crore, sources said.
