AP: Important files destroyed in fire mishap in Sub-collector’s office

Tirupati July 22 (UNI) Important files relating to the land acquisition were gutted in an alleged fire accident in the sub-collector’s office in Madanapalle in Annamayya district in AP on the night of Sunday.
According to sources, flames erupted in the Sub-collector office on the night of Sunday at around 11:30 pm. Though the RDO received information about the fire mishap in his office, he did not inform the District Collector.
The flames erupted in the Sub-collector office in the room where the important files about 22A land records were preserved. Most of the files were destroyed in the fire, sources added. A fire tender rushed there and extinguished the flames but by that time the office had suffered considerable damage and crucial documents about the land holdings, land allocations, and other important documents gutted in the fire.
