AP HM announces Rs 10 lakh ex-gratia to kin of ‘rape, murder’ victim

Vijayawada, July 15 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha has announced Rs 10 lakh ex gratia to the family of a 9-year-old girl who was gang raped and murdered by minor boys at Machumari in Nandyala district.
The Home Minister has also announced Rs 5 lakh ex gratia to the family of the six-month-old baby girl, who was raped by her close relative at Ramabhadrapuram in Vizainagaram district. She said that the Rs 5 lakh would be deposited in the name of the infant baby girl. She said that she would personally hand over the ex gratia amount to the family members soon.
Speaking to the media here on Monday, Home Minister Anitha said that the body of a 9-year-old girl, who was gang raped and murdered by three minor boys at Machumarri village in Nandyala district five days ago, had not been traced so far. The accused three minor boys were told to the police different versions about the body which they dumped after committing the crime. The NDRF teams searched in the canal for the body but could not trace it.
