AP govt. to present awards for best journalists for year 2025-26

Vijayawada, May 13 (UNI) The government of Andhra Pradesh will present awards to the journalists who have demonstrated outstanding excellence in the field of journalism for the year 2025-26.
Addressing a press conference, flanked by I&PR Director KS Viswanathan, here on Wednesday, CR Media Academy Chairman Alapati Suresh Kumar said that the government has set up a four-member committee chaired by him.
Suresh Kumar informed that A A V Prasad (former Editor of India Today), Prof. D V R Murthy (In-charge Vice-Chancellor of Andhra Kesari University) and Justice Satyanarayana Murthy (retired High Court Judge) are the members of the committee while K S Viswanathan (Director of the Department of Information and Public Relations) will act as the Member-Convener.
