AP Govt to allot land facing sea to develop World class ITPO convention centre in Vizag

Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh) Nov 14 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh government on Friday announced it is ready to allot land facing sea to develop a world class ITPO (India Trade Promotion Organisation) ConventionCenter in Visakhapatnam.
This was announced by Chief Minister N.Chandrababu Naidu during the inaugural session of 30th CII Partnershipheld here after union Minister for Commerce and Industry Piysuh Goyal requested Naidu to create a permanent facility in Andhra Pradesh to conduct seminars, conference and exhibitions.
Delivering keynote address at CII PartnershipSummit, the Chief Minister expressed happiness over the participation of over 2500 trade delegates across the globe including 522 representing 72 countries, and said that Visakhapatnam is a beautiful and safest city and is going to emerge as a destination for IT and investments. Invitingthe trade delegates to the CII partnership summit next year and he is ready to host it at Visakhapatnam itself. He said that as per the suggestion of Piyush he is ready to allot land facing sea todevelop a world class ITPO convention centre in Visakhapatnam.Earlier, Piyush said "I'd like to work with you (CM Naidu) to create a permanentfacility in Andhra Pradesh where we can have big-ticket seminars, conferences, exhibitions. ITPO, the India Trade Promotion Organisation, which has createdthe wonderful ‘Bharat Mandapam’ in Delhi, would love to partner with your state and jointlyprepare ‘Andhra Mandapam’..So that in the years to come, our PartnershipSummit will not be under a marquee or a tent, or temporary facility, but willbe at a world-class international stage, the union Minister added.
