AP: Golden Sathari presented for Ayinavilli Vighneswera temple

Kakinada, May 18 (UNI) Devotees from Kothapeta have presented a golden `SATHAARI" (Sathagopam) worth Rs 30 lakhs to Sri Vigneshwara -- the presiding deity of the famous temple at Ayinavilli .
The devotees Venkata Krishnamraju, Durgavati couple along with their son Venkata Surya Subbaraju and daughter-in-law Swetha have presented the Golden Sathaari made with 369 grams of gold.
The temple priests and the executive officer have received the Sathaari from the donors at a brief function held at the temple premises on Sunday.

Thiruvananthapuram, Jan 13 (UNI) The Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) on Tuesday registered a crucial victory in the special election to the newly constituted Vizhinjam ward of the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation, dealing a significant setback to the ruling CPI(M)-led Left Democratic Front (LDF) in a keenly fought civic contest that had wide political ramifications.
According to official results, Congress candidate K.H. Sudheer Khan, representing the UDF, won the Vizhinjam seat by a narrow margin of 83 votes, polling 2,902 votes.
