AP gets 106 additional Post Graduate medical seats

Vijayawada, Oct 18 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav said that the National Medical Commission has allocated 106 additional Post Graduate medical seats (Broad Specialty Courses).

In a statement here on Saturday, the Minister said that the number of seats in PG medical education in government medical colleges has increased significantly. The National Medical Commission (NMC) has approved the addition of 106 seats (broad specialty courses) in addition to the existing ones in gynecology, general medicine and other specialty courses.

Kerala releases 2024 antibiogram, reports decline in resistance

Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 11 (UNI) Kerala has published the 2024 State Antibiogram (AMR Surveillance Report), presenting an assessment of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) trends and the state’s strategy to curb misuse of antibiotics.
Kerala created history in 2022 when it became the first state in India to release an antibiogram. With the latest publication, the state has now released its report for the fourth consecutive year, showcasing consistent and structured action against AMR.
