On the occasion, the CM expressed deep gratitude to the union Government-led by Prime Minister Modi for the support in making this possible.
This MoU brings families, businesses and opportunities closer, strengthening the deep and trusted partnership between Andhra Pradesh and Singapore, the CM added.
Ram Mohan said that Minister for IT, Lokesh signed the MOU with the Singapore Minister, that will establish a framework of cooperation between Andhra Pradesh and Singapore. It will exchange knowledge, expertise, in good governance, sustainable development, and it will also have a business focus.
"I'm sure that both ministers will do their best," he said.
"The Chief Minister visited Singapore on July 30 this year and had promised that he is going to connect Vijayawada and Singapore very soon. So it was a mandate given to us, and we are very happy to share that tomorrow, right in the morning, we are starting flights from Vijayawada to Singapore three times a week," the union Minister said.
"I would like to see more and more demand picking up in this," he said, adding that "we already have flights from Visakhapatnam four days a week, now three days a week from Vijayawada".
"I would like to see more demand coming my way so that I can put pressure on the airlines and services so that we can go seven days a week," Ram Mohan Naidu added.
