AP: Collector serves notices to 7 industries for non-payment of Rs 87 cr water taxes

Kakinada (Andhra Pradesh), Mar 24 (UNI) District Collector Shan Mohan has served notices on seven major industries surrounding Kakinada city for non-payment of water taxes to the tune of Rs.87.22 Crores due since 2019.
He said that initial notices for payment of water taxes were issued to them on March 7 but once again fresh notices were served on Monday as there was no response from them .
The industries in default, he said, include Nagarjuna fertilizers, Kakinada Sea ports limited, GMR energy limited, MV Sasidhar and Co, Ashoka enterprises, Anjani agencies and Annapurna marines .
