AP CM pays tributes to TDP founder N T Rama Rao

Vijayawada, Jan 18 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu paid glowing tributes to Telugu Desam party founder and former Chief Minister N T Rama Rao on his 30th death anniversary in the party's central office at Mangalagiri, near here, on Sunday.
The Chief Minister garlanded the statue of NT Rama Rao at a programme attended by a large number of TDP leaders and activists.
Addressing the gathering, he recalled why and how NT Rama Rao floated the Telugu Desam party. "In order to protect the self-respect of Telugu people, NT Rama Rao launched the TDP. He brought recognition to Telugu people across the country and took the Telugu pride to heights. NTR came to power within 9 months of launching the TDP," Naidu reminisced.
