AP CM Chandrababu Naidu visits Kanha Shanti Vanam, lauds Heartfulness initiatives

Hyderabad, Dec 15 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday paid a special visit to Revered Daaji, Guide of Heartfulness and President of Shri Ram Chandra Mission, at Kanha Shanti Vanam, the world’s largest meditation centre, on the outskirts of Hyderabad.
The five-hour visit included a guided tour of the Kanha Shanti Vanam campus, which houses the meditation centre, wellness and yoga facilities, the Heartfulness International School, the Heartfulness Gopichand International Badminton Academy, and several sustainability-driven initiatives.
Accompanied by Daaji, the Chief Minister visited the Heartfulness Tree Conservation Centre, including the tissue culture laboratory, and was briefed on ongoing scientific and botanical research. He also toured the rainforest area highlighting biodiversity efforts, the world’s largest meditation hall, the Babuji Vanam rainwater harvesting zone, and the Biochar Centre of Excellence.

Village officer's 'Stop memo' directing halt to bridge construction at ‘Kumbh Mela’ site triggers row in Kerala

Kozhikode, Jan 14 (UNI) Ahead of the ‘ Kumbh Mela’ festival in Kerala’s Malappuram, on the banks of the Bharathapuzha river, the Thirunavaya village officer has issued a stop memo for the construction works on the Bharathapuzha river.
The village officer’s stop memo has triggered a controversy ahead of the proposed ‘Kumbh Mela’ on the banks of the Bharathapuzha, to be started next week.
Despite the stop memo, the organisers asserted that the event will go ahead as scheduled.
