AP attracts Rs 11.92 lakh cr investments in two days

Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh), Nov 14 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh state attracted investments to a tune of Rs 11,91,972 crore by signing MoUs with four hundred companies in two days including on Thursday and on the first day of CII partnership summit on Friday. This would generate employment opportunities for around 13.32 lakh youth of the state.
It may be noted that the state government signed 41 MoUs in the presence of Chief Minister N.Chandrababu Naidu while 324 MoUs signed in presence of Ministers with an investment of Rs 8,41,786 crore.
Majority of MoUs signed with APCRDA, Energy, Food processing, Industry, trade, IT and Municipal departments.
Meanwhile, the Lulu International group signed MoU with Andhra Pradesh government in the presence of the Chief Minister and Lulu group chairman MD Yousful Ali towards investments in various sectors including developing a Lulu Mall in Visakhapatnam at a cost of Rs 1,066 crore and food processing units.
Speaking on the occasion, the Lulu group chairman said that the group will start export of mango, guava pulp and spices from January.
He said Logistics and Procurement export centre will be set up in Rayalaseema soon.
Naidu asked the Lulu group chairman to purchase agri products from farmers in Andhra Pradesh. The CM said that the Lulu mall is not a shopping mall and it will help to promote tourism in Visakhapatnam.
Later, the Singapore government signed MoU with Andhra Pradesh for cooperation in urban governance, digital governance transformation and Sustainability in the presence of the Chief Minister and Minister Nara Lokesh and Singapore minister Gan Siow Huang, union Minister K Rammohan Naidu and Minister Nadendla Manohar.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said Andhra Pradesh is eager to work with Singapore which runs industries with innovative ideas.
He said Singapore developed by adopting best public policies.
Minister Lokesh opined that it is a good beginning to work with Singapore.
Union Minister Rammohan Naidu announced introducing flights between Vijayawada - Singapore for three days in a week soon.

AP: Visakhapatnam Port Authority takes over possession of Sports Complex

Visakhapatnam, Dec 15 (UNI) Visakhapatnam Port Authority (VPA) on Monday said it has taken over possession of its Sports Complex and Kalavani A/C Auditorium, located in the Nehru Sports & Cultural Complex at Salagrampuram here, pursuant to termination of the respective lease agreements. The Sports Complex was earlier leased to M/s Vishwanadh Sports & Conventions Pvt. Ltd., while the Kalavani A/C Auditorium was leased to M/s Vishwanadh Avenues (India) Pvt. Ltd.
