AOI gives new lease of life to 7-year-old boy suffering from brain Tumour

Vijayawada, Sep 20 (UNI) American Oncology Institute (AOI) at Mangalagiri, near here, successfully treated a 7-year-old boy diagnosed with high-risk medulloblastoma, a fast-growing brain tumor that primarily affects children.
After thorough investigations, the medical team at AOI initiated an intensive treatment plan, which included craniospinal irradiation—a specialized form of radiation therapy targeting both the brain and spine to eliminate cancer cells and prevent the disease from spreading.
Following the completion of his treatment, the boy has been under close monitoring with regular follow-ups over the past five years. Today, he is cancer-free and thriving, now in the 7th grade and living a healthy, active life.
