Anger in Punjab's Hoshiarpur after abducted child found dead

Chandigarh, Sept 11 (UNI) A tragic incident has shaken the residents of Deep Nagar in Hoshiarpur district, where a five-year-old boy, Harveer, was allegedly abducted by a migrant labourer on the evening of September 8 around 6 p.m. The boy’s body was discovered yesterday morning at a cremation ground in Rahimpur.
Following a postmortem, Harveer’s body was handed over to his family today. The final rites were performed later that day in his ancestral village, Bhanaoke, near Phagwara. The incident has sparked widespread outrage among villagers, who gathered in large numbers during the funeral, expressing grief and anger.
Harveer’s father, speaking to the media, described the irreparable loss his family has suffered. He urged the government to expedite the case through a fast-track court to ensure swift justice for the perpetrator of this heinous crime.
