Andhra: Two more check posts at Kakinada port to curb PDS rice exports

Kakinada, Aug 13 (UNI):Andhra Pradesh Minister for Civil Supplies Nadendla Manohar on Tuesday said two more check posts would be opened to ease the traffic congestion at the Kakinada port and curb the illegal exports of PDS rice.
Reviewing the situation arising out of representations of various sections on the traffic congestion at the check posts, at a meeting held at the Collectorate with the port officials, exporters and labour union representatives, he assured that the total system would be overhauled to put an end to the corruption and ensure the daily port activities were not affected.
The Minister further said special action plan was being formulated to put an end to the illegal exports of PDS rice from the anchorage port. UNI KNR SSP
