Andhra Health Minister issues notices after stray dog drags amputated leg from Vijayawada hospital

Vijayawada, May 16 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav has taken the incident of a dog taking away an amputated leg from the storeroom in the Government hospital here and issued a show-cause notice to the RMO and Superintendent.
It may be mentioned here that the doctors of the GGH had amputated an infected leg of a patient and stored it in the disposal storeroom. However, a stray dog entered the storeroom, took away the amputated leg, and ate it partially.
The Health Minister took the issue seriously and sacked the sanitation staff for dereliction of duty. A notice was also issued to the private agency that is managing the disposal of the biowaste of the GGH.
