Port Blair, Jan 18 (UNI) Andaman and Nicobar Islands have got the
second batch of 11 air-conditioned zero tailpipe emission e-buses from

To improve the quality of public transport and to provide an
attractive & comfortable mode of transport to the general public, an
agreement between the Department of Transport of Andaman and Nicobar Islands and the NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Ltd had earlier signed for the deployment of 40 air-conditioned zero tailpipe emission e-buses.
One prototype air-conditioned zero tailpipe emission e-bus was sent
to Andaman on 9th December 2020 and after the arrival of 11 more
buses, now all together, 12 such e-buses have reached Andaman, out of
the total 40, ordered earlier.
“We have received 11 more e-buses and we are expecting that the rest
