Amit Shah reviews Bengal's Law and Order, orders stronger STF, anti-infiltration measures

Kolkata, July 19 (UNI) union Home Minister Amit Shah chaired a high-level meeting with senior officers of the West Bengal Police, Kolkata Police and central paramilitary forces on Sunday during his three-day visit to the state where he issued a series of directives aimed at strengthening law and order, border security and anti-infiltration measures.
Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari attended the nearly 90-minute meeting, where Shah reviewed the state's law and order situation, including incidents of political and communal violence, and assessed security arrangements in Maoist and Naxal-affected regions.
The union home minister directed officials to further strengthen the Special Task Forces (STF) of both the state and Kolkata Police and stressed the need to enhance 1,930 police service-related functions.

IFFCO Paradip holds ammonia leak mock drill

Bhubaneswar, Aug 19 (UNI) IFFCO’s Paradip unit on Wednesday conducted a full-scale on-site emergency mock drill to assess its preparedness and strengthen coordinated response mechanisms for handling potential industrial emergencies.
The exercise was based on a simulated leakage of liquid ammonia from an eight-inch transfer pipeline connecting the ammonia storage area to the DAP plant.
