Amid ‘Dhurandhar’ blockbuster run, Ranveer Singh reflects on destiny

New Delhi, Dec 16 (UNI) Ranveer Singh shared a cryptic note on destiny and patience amid the blockbuster success of his latest release, 'Dhurandhar'.
Taking to Instagram, the actor posted a quote reflecting on fate, hinting that he is currently choosing to move forward with “sabr” (patience).
In the post, Ranveer wrote, “Kismat ki ek bohut khoobsurat aadat hai, ki woh waqt aane par badalti hai. Lekin filhal. Nazar aur sabr.” Lososely translated: "Fate has a very beautiful habit, that it changes when the time comes. But for now... Watchfulness and patience".
Meanwhile, Dhurandhar continues to receive an exceptional response from audiences across the country. The film’s second Saturday collection has surpassed several major blockbusters, earning Rs 46.50 crore and overtaking films such as Pushpa 2 (Hindi) at Rs 46.50 crore, Chhaava at Rs 44.10 crore, Stree 2 at Rs 33.80 crore, and Animal at Rs 32.47 crore.
Other films in the top 10 list for second Saturday collections include Gadar 2 (Rs 31.07 crore), Jawan (Rs 30.10 crore), Saiyaara (Rs 27 crore), Baahubali 2 (Hindi) (Rs 26.50 crore), and The Kashmir Files (Rs 24.80 crore).
The film’s phenomenal box office performance is also reflected in its impressive two-week overall collections.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar follows the story of Hamza, an Indian spy who infiltrates Pakistan to join the gang of Rehman Dakait.
The film draws inspiration from real-life events, including the 2001 Parliament attack and the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, offering a dramatic portrayal of the India–Pakistan conflict.
Alongside Ranveer Singh, the film features Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt and Sara Arjun in pivotal roles.
Dhurandhar has also recorded houseful shows across multiple centres in Jammu and Kashmir, including smaller towns such as Shopian and Pulwama, where theatrical releases have traditionally been limited.
The strong turnout in these regions highlights a renewed enthusiasm for cinema-going and underscores the demand for big-screen entertainment even in areas without multiplex infrastructure.
A sequel, ‘Dhurandhar Part Two,’ is scheduled for release on March 19, 2026. UNI MI
