Alleged video of DGP-rank officer goes viral, Karnataka CM seeks report

Bengaluru, Jan 19 (UNI)A controversy erupted in Karnataka on Monday after an alleged video surfaced on social media purportedly showing DGP-rank IPS officer Ramachandra Rao, father of gold smuggling accused Ranya Rao, in intimate moments inside his official chamber.
The video, which went viral across platforms, allegedly shows the senior police officer hugging and kissing women while in uniform during office hours. The visuals are claimed to have been secretly recorded inside the DGP’s office, raising serious concerns over official conduct, discipline and misuse of government premises.
Reacting to the controversy, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah expressed strong displeasure and sought a detailed briefing on the matter.
