Allahabad HC stays eviction of Samajwadi Party office in Moradabad

Prayagraj, Oct 9 (UNI) In a major relief to the Samajwadi Party, the principal opposition in Uttar Pradesh, the Allahabad High Court today stayed the closure of the SP office in Moradabad city till further orders.
The High Court, while hearing the case, put a stay on the closure of the SP office and ordered a status quo in the matter until further orders today. The hearing took place before a division bench of Justices Arindam Singh and Satyaveer Singh. The next hearing in the case will be held on October 28. The district administration has issued a notice to vacate the Moradabad SP office within 2 weeks.
The SP has filed a petition in the High Court challenging the district administration's order. The allotment of the SP office was cancelled by the administration on September 16. The notice issued by the administration clearly stated that it was Nazul land, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Municipal Corporation.
